WHAT YOU’LL NEED

  • A DECENT ESPRESSO MACHINE.

  • COFFEE BEANS/GROUND

  • ESPRESSO GRINDER  (OPTIONAL)

  • TAMPER

  • SCALES

 

Method

1. REMOVE PORTAFILTER FROM GROUP HEAD.

2. FLUSH GROUP HEAD FOR A FEW SECONDS.

3. EMPTY THE PORTAFILTER AND  MAKE SURE THAT IT’S CLEAN &  DRY.

4. WEIGH OUT YOUR COFFEE.

5. PLACE IN PORTAFILTER.

6. TAMP THE COFFEE: USE  THE TAMPER TO PRESS LEVEL  AND FIRMLY.

7. ‘BLESS THE COFFEE’ –  CLEAN THE RIM BY RUNNING  YOUR PALM ACROSS TOP OF  PORTAFILTER.

8. LOCK THE PORTAFILTER INTO GROUP HEAD.

9. AS SOON AS PORTAFILTER IS IN PLACE, PRESS THE  BUTTON TO START THE BREW.

10. EXTRACT FOR THE  DESIRED TIME – VERY  IMPORTANT. (27 SEC)

11 WHEN ESPRESSO IS BREWED STOP THE FLOW.
