Sustainability

Is at the centre of everything that we do at Cortado.

Sourcing.

All of our suppliers have a strong sustainability focus. All our single use items are compostable or fully recyclable. We buy locally at every opportunity, Arbutus pastries, Hassett’s bread, O’Driscoll’s Ham & Scones. We use milk poly boxes from Glanbia to minimise plastic waste.

On Site.

We capture all waste streams to ensure maximum composting and minimum landfill waste.

We put all coffee grinds into our compost for our veg. patch.

All water waste is captured and used on the veg patch.

We operate a Zero Plastic policy. We have no single use plastic on site, no bottles etc.

Social Sustainability.

Charitable giving – At the end of every day all of our fresh produce for use that day is shared with our local Simon Community.

Workplace Environment – Through the format of the Cortado offering we create the ideal environment to allow workplaces create an area for informal staff interaction. We have identified with our partners the need to encourage informal discussion around the workplace. A space to encourage conversation and a break from the desk.

“It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world. Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.”
